I’m hooked! And I’m sure you will be too if you attend this workshop!
I started using a Gelli plate several years ago and fell in love with it. The possibilities are infinite, and I now use it constantly for my work, mostly preparing papers for collage. In the workshop, we will use a variety of materials to make images on the Gelli plate. Fresh plant matter, stencils, string, stamps, fabric etc., on different types of paper, using acrylic paints to ‘ink’ up the plate. It’s easy, the results are surprising and it is a lot of fun! All resources will be provided, and the session will also include tea and cake!
I graduated from MMU with a BA (Hons.) in Weave, and an MA in Textiles. I have taught Textiles, Art and Colour Theory in Singapore, France and the UK, and also given workshops in many different creative disciplines. I am a working artist, and have exhibited widely. My work is in private collections and museums worldwide. After 36 years living overseas, I have returned to the UK, and now live in Bath with my husband Tony, AKA the artist’s assistant, as he will carry all my bags of stuff!
