THE WIZARD OF OZ/NO PLACE LIKE HOME

 

Neath Arts Festival is returning this October with many wonderful events being held all over town!

We invited artists of all ages to create art based on The Wizard of Oz and magical shoes inpsired by 'Home'. We had great success last year with our ‘Alice in Wonderland’ exhibition and want to continue that this year with ‘The Wizard of Oz’. ​​

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum was first published in 1900 and has delighted the imagination of children and adults ever since. Since its publication, author L. Frank Baum brought the Land of Oz back to life with thirteen sequels and various other authors have continued this with their own sequels and additions to this magical world throughout the generations.

With many great and unique characters and settings to work with, we encouraged participants to explore the world of Oz and discover things about the series they may not have know.
