I have been a creative since I could hold a crayon! I’ve drawn and painted, stitched and glued, crocheted and knitted, and throughout my life worked in many different jobs, including Display, Interior Design, and been involved in diverse creative fields. I graduated from what is now Manchester Metropolitan University with a B.A. (Hons.) in Woven Textiles and Fine Art in1976, and a Master of Arts in Textiles in 1977.
Following my degree courses I worked at The Peterloo Art Gallery in Manchester, then lectured in Textile Design and Embroidery at Blackpool College of Art for four years. In 1982 I moved to Singapore, and lectured in Colour Theory and Graphics at The Nanyang Academy of Fine Art. I lived overseas for 34 years, and have taught Art at varying levels of education in England, Singapore and France, designing and running Creative Courses and Workshops for Adults and Children. I returned to live in the UK in 2016.
